The music our children listen to

The other day I was telling a friend that I was a little worried because my daughter didn't listen to Radio 3 of National Radio of Spain and told me better. I kept thinking and the truth is that I think he's right. That he still has a lot to explore, know, participate and choose to form, if he wants to form, a criterion. I think music is a good option as entertainment and leisure so it is important that they know where to look for it, that they recognize what is playing and who are the typical references. Although yes, it is still very small, in the case of my daughter, to start choosing music maybe not too popular and general that is where she has to move now. And is that the kids express very well their desire to belong to the group with songs and dances and it is important that they participate in the general successes that are heard on radio, television and now also that they are accessible on the Internet.

In the video below is the song On top of the world from Imagine Dragons, a band we were talking about recently because they have been chosen for the soundtrack of the next Transformers movie. The song is playing in many places and the little one already identifies it with classmates. Like the one we published recently from Pharrell Williams with Happy who has filled YouTube with happy aftershocks and smiles in the street. What worries me most is what happens when they grow up.

And when they grow up they have to be attentive, as in other things, to know what's up, who sets the trend and what can they choose. At that time the most important thing is that they know where they can look, what references they have to follow and how the music has its moments and its artists and the greatest are those that remain above events, special moments or fashion trends.

At home when the little one was little we put rock and roll, funky, mambo, boleros, classical music (not only that of Fernando Argenta in The concert), We even did a radio show! and although now it's going through the moment of I have to know what everyone knows and I choose my own music, that is, what is heard by the 40 Principals or Kiss FM or Europa FM, I do not lose hope that when I grow up a little more I have the desire to choose, to look for and to entertain with the music. Maybe then it's time to hear Radio 3.

For now we have many weeks of Latin American music, where are the Spanish artists? with Shakira, which has released a song, or the official World Cup anthem that sings it Pit bull, Claudia Leitte Y Jennifer Lopez and what is it called We are one. Another day, if that, I put the link.
