Children's workshops in Valencia to teach design and develop creativity

The Association of Designers of the Valencian Community (ADCV) Together with Las Naves, Space for Contemporary Creation, they organize the project called #LasNavesKids which aims to develop children's creativity and present the challenges and challenges of the designer's profession. These are workshops run and taught by design professionals that will be held between 10:30 and 13:00 in the morning. Registration must be done through the Las Naves page of the Valencia City Council. He workshop price is 5 euros and all minors must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

The workshops start the day October 5th With the program Beyond a chair in which the designer Yolanda Herráiz will use the Sail chair by Andreu World to discover an everyday object and explore with children how it can become something playful. The age of the children participating in this workshop must be between 6 and 12 years old.

The day October 19 It is the designer Nacho Timón who will teach how to make a lamp with a bottle of milk. The workshop title is This lamp is milk! and children from 7 to 12 years old can attend.

He October 26 the designers Rosalía Sebastián and Reyes Mora will direct the children between 6 and 12 years in the activity Create your own notebook in which the little ones will work with materials and textures.

I think that workshops that encourage children's creativity are highly recommended although it is essential direct the tasks to be done very well and have experience in dealing with children. It is easy for children to be distracted, deconcentrated or bored and monitors have to be able to attract, entertain, participate and try to get the workshops to be like games in which to test their ability to imagine. The parents we also have to facilitate the work of the monitors and it is not bad to also participate in the creative processes because a fun idea can always come out to share.

I am very happy that design workshops are taught because it is a very suitable concept for children to know, work and encourage experimentation. We wish the initiative many successes. Reviewing the web pages of the speakers in the workshop I have no doubt that the children will have a great time with the works of the authors and that they will learn a lot from their experiences and successful projects.
