'Forbidden Education' already has a date for its world premiere: it will be on August 13

The next day August 13 is finally released 'Forbidden education', is a documentary film that is proposed question the logic of modern schooling and the way of understanding education, making visible different and unconventional educational experiences that raise the need for a new educational paradigm.

We are facing an international event that will consist of a central projection in Buenos Aires, which will be accompanied by several independent projections in Latin America, the United States and Spain. In turn, all of us can attend the premiere on the Internet, since we will have the possibility to download the film. Forbidden Education is a project carried out by young people who started from the vision of those who learn and embarked on a research covering eight countries conducting interviews with dozens of educators of alternative educational proposals. The film has been collectively funded thanks to hundreds of co-producers and has free licenses that allow and encourage copying and reproduction.

In order to have a broader and more critical vision, we should think about school in a different way. Because the school institution that has already completed more than 200 years of existence, and we all consider the main form of access to 'education', has been characterized by structures and practices that are still anachronistic and obsolete today

What is 'Forbidden Education'?

You may be interested to know why this movie is called 'forbidden education'?

Throughout this film a coherent and constructive approach, because far from arguing that education is expressly prohibited, or talk about conspiracies ... They tell us that our own traditions, culture and way of looking at education, are those that day by day prevent us from living it. Fortunately this is not expressly prohibited, but for some reason, the result of the last 200 years 'we have decided not to dedicate time or effort'.

In general, the school serves to transfer information, education, instruction, job training, and in some cases training for social development, but not education. Education, understood as the process of human development, personal fulfillment and manifestation of potentialities, does not occur in educational institutions. Education in the modern school is prohibited

Perhaps education needs us to release it, and this film may be a good start, because it embarks on this journey towards the discovery of the ideas that make up a new conscious education, in the search for the full development of human faculties and of a better world.

Filming equipment

Germán Doin Campos is the general director of the documentary, and the general production is carried out by Verónica Guzzo, they along with the rest of the team (many of the members do not know each other), are presented as mere 'communicators of ideas and approaches based in the crisis of the traditional educational system '. But not only that, because they propose a paradigm focused on the full realization of the human being.

And the project is very interesting since has grown through crowfounding and the participation of many people who have spent their time, allowing it to take shape and weaving each of the small details.
