Baby carts can be loaded without folding to Madrid buses

After several comings and goings and much later than the public transport user parents would have liked, the story has had a happy ending.

Whoever travels with a baby from January 1 will no longer have to juggle to get on a bus in Madrid, a simple act that had become a real odyssey by demanding to fold the car before getting on.

Without help it is almost impossible. You have to manage to hold the child, the bag and close the cart, all at once. Above, have the transport voucher on hand and hold as you can. Not to mention if you have twins.

As we have already announced that it would happen, a modification of the Regulations of Interurban Transport Travelers of the Community of Madrid and that of the EMT will allow access to deployed car buses, chairs or baby carriages.

Although there are some conditions such as children must be under three years old and accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their safety.

And that the seats must have their corresponding restraint systems to avoid accidents.

The place for the baby to travel in his cart inside the bus will be the place reserved for wheelchairs.

But, in the supposed and usual case that it is busy or that the bus is complete, will the common sense of the father and the passengers prevail?

Or should we put the cart and the baby on our shoulders again and may God help us?
