A 10-year-old boy creates a device to prevent the death of babies who remain locked in the car

We know that the combination of car and heat is a terrible trap for babies and children. But as incredible as it may seem, deaths of babies and children forgotten inside a car continue to be news. It seems that those terrible cases where some baby was forgotten inside the vehicle or sometimes left intentionally because the parents "would return quickly" are not enough to raise awareness.

Many of us have wondered how it is possible for parents, grandparents or who is in charge of the child to be able to leave it, intentionally or not, inside a car. At least I know that I've never done more than those seconds that I get off and my daughter stays in her seat to close the gate of my house after taking it out. It is impossible for me to believe that someone can forget their forgotten child, but it does happen, and it happens more often than we think.

That is why the initiative of a 10-year-old boy has been so well received by the media and many parents, with which he intends prevent the death of children who are forgotten in the car, through a device that he invented.

Bishop Curry V, from Texas, has created a new device with which he hopes help reduce the number of deaths of babies locked in cars because of hyperthermia or heat stroke. His idea came after a baby living in a neighboring city died in this way.

His invention, which he calls "Oasis"and that is just in the design stage, it would consist of a small device that is placed on top of the car seat and detect if a child has been forgotten in the car. The device starts to blowing cold air while simultaneously alerting parents and authorities.

While it is not the first time someone invents a device for these terrible oversights, it is surprising that a child of only 10 years has decided to take action and do something about it.

We have previously talked about how dangerous it is to leave a baby or child inside the car, even if it takes a few minutes, we must avoid it at all costs It is about the safety of our children.

There are several cases in which babies have died because they stayed too long in the vehicle and the temperature rises rapidly. Even a couple of years ago, we shared a video where it shows what happens when leaving a child locked in a car.

Although we cannot understand how it is possible for a father or grandfather to forget a baby in the car, we must not make hasty judgments, because even if we fully trust our memory, it could happen to anyone.

Haste, stress, a routine change (for example, that before one of the parents took him to the nursery and had to change and now it is his turn to do the other) or some tragic event that has us with the mind in another On the other hand, these are some of the reasons why parents have left their children forgotten in the car.

In my case since the first time I read about one of these cases, I have become a bit paranoid and when it comes to getting in the car, I've got used to always turn to see my daughter's seat to verify that she is well, walking or not the car. So much I do it already in automatic that sometimes when turning around and not seeing it momentarily I get scared, but then I remember that she is at school or at her grandmother's house.

While the ideal would be not to have to need a device that reminds us that we leave our children in the car, we should receive this initiative with positivism, since in the end, we are human and a mistake could happen to anyone.
