'The story of Jan', an emotional documentary that shows the daily life of a child with Down syndrome

When parents find out that their baby has Down Syndrome, the world seems to be paralyzed and invades the bewilderment, can we get it? Will we be good parents? What will our life be like?

All those feelings can be seen reflected in 'The story of Jan', an emotional documentary that shows the daily life of a child with Down syndrome, and that will be screened today at the Malaga Film Festival.

It all started with a blog, Jan's story as a way to vent fears, uncertainties, doubts and everything that Jan's father, Bernardo Moll, felt. The first entry was written as catharsis the same day he learned that his son had Down syndrome. "I needed to face what I felt, social fear and self-fear. You feel very lonely. I said to myself: if you are so afraid of the social, make it social."

From that day, they decided to record each day of their son and write on the blog each of his small achievements, from his first crawls, the first steps, the first time he saw the sea, his birthdays, as well as images of when They touched unexpected visits to the hospital.

Thus six years of Jan's life were collected, an exciting story of overcoming, of dedication, but above all a story of pure love towards a wonderful son who was born with an extra chromosome.
