Children's workshop: Gladiators at the MAHE Museum in Elche

We continue to propose activities for these holidays, and today it is time to move to Roman times. During the month of July the Archeological and History Museum of Elche (MAHE) organizes the children's workshop "Gladiators in the MAHE".

"Gladiators in the MAHE" is a free workshop dedicated to Roman gladiators, aimed at children from five to 11 years old. The activity will take place at the MAHE from Tuesday to Friday, from July 2 to 26. The scheduled time for the activity is from 10:00 to 12:00 hours.

This cultural and educational activity aims, apart from making known the world of gladiators, encouraging interest in discovering our past, bring Roman culture closer to children in a playful and educational way and stimulate children's artistic ability, as well as teamwork.

The didactic workshop consists of two parts, the first more theoretical, where the basic concepts related to Roman culture will be explained through a photo montage. Then comes the practical part, in which the children will make a bracelet and a sword using different types of materials (cardboard, paintings ...).

The culmination of the workshop, probably the most fun part, will be a representation of the gladiator game using costumes and the material made during the visit.

The workshop is free, although prior telephone registration is necessary. On this occasion we have very close the possibility of carry out this children's workshop of "Gladiators in the MAHE", so I hope to attend and be able to tell everything.
