In the summer we have renewed our image by updating the design of Babies and more and adding new features. Now we release the user pages, which focuses on the information that interests us most about the blog.
In the user pages we can give information about us, add experts and follow the conversations generated from the comments of the posts, both in which we and our experts have intervened. It also allows us to save our favorite posts and those of our experts.
Let's start at the beginning. When we registered on the blog with our Open ID, by clicking on View profile we can access our user page which will offer information about us to other readers and save our activity on the blog.
In this personalized page we can edit our profile by describing ourselves and adding a photo that identifies us. We can also choose an easier-to-remember username that will be our user page and replaces the numerical address by default. For example: //www.bebesymas.com/usuario/lolarovati.
Once we have created our user page we can save the articles that interest us the most that will be added when we vote positively with the green arrow that appears at the end of each post.
We can also follow the thread of the conversations in which we participate. If someone replies to a comment we have made in a post, the system automatically picks it up and we can even ask to be notified by email when someone does.
The user page also allows us add experts. An expert is a Baby reader and more than we especially want to follow his activity on the blog. All readers become potential experts when we register on the blog and others can add us.
To add an expert, we go to your user page and click on the button with the plus sign that says "add expert". We can remove it whenever we want and we can add as many experts as we want.
When you add someone as an expert, the comments you make on the blog and the articles you save as favorites will appear on our user page.
As I said before, if we want we can ask to be notified of the news by mail such as when someone has added us as an expert or comments are published in the posts where we participated. At any time we can ask that no more notification emails be sent to us.
On our user page, below our description we have two tabs. In one we have all our activity, the posts we have voted as favorites and the conversations in which we have participated. It also appears when someone has answered us and how many new comments are in each post.
In the other tab appears the activity of our experts, those people whom we consider interesting and whose comments and favorite entries we do not want to miss. We can also use the feed of each of these information flows separately.
Likewise, we have the possibility of making our profile private. In this way, we will be taking advantage of the benefits and help when following comments, but we will not let anyone follow us, keeping our activity in Babies and more as private.
