Taking care of my baby's skin: we tried the Weleda Calendula range

When you suffer from dermatitis, you are quite aware of the formulas of the products you use ... of course, when a baby arrives you turn to each of the ingredients with a magnifying glass because you do not want to put elements that can harm your delicate skin. That is my case and that is why the first products I chose to use with my daughter have been those of Weleda's Calendula range, so today I tell you my experience with them.

These products are of natural origin and are made specifically to care for babies' skin. Bath and shower gel does not contain soap and are enriched with extracts of marigold bio to soothe the skin without irritating the sensitive eyes of children. In its formula we find sweet almond oil, sesame, marigold extracts and natural essential oils.

On the other hand the oil is indicated for the daily care and massage of the baby. It is recommended to use it after bathing, since in theory it prevents skin drying and keeps the skin soft (and according to the brand it even helps you maintain your body temperature).

In its formula we find almond oil, extracts of marigold and chamomile flowers and natural essential oils.

My experience with the Calendula range for babies

I have been a user of this brand for a long time because of the skin problems I suffer, so I am familiar with it and it has always given me good results. Of course, I had only tried facial and body products for adults.

When I started using them with my baby I did it every three days, since The pediatrician recommended that I use maximum gel about 3 times a week to prevent dry skin. A couple of weeks after birth I began to notice how he began to 'peel' (an issue that is absolutely normal), but after a few days he was already perfectly.

The pediatrician also recommended putting a few drops of oil in the bathtub water to prevent her skin from drying out, but I must say that I did not like the experiment ... not because it was not effective, but because the girl slipped a little and His hair looked oily.

The use I have given to the oil is just what the brand recommends: right after the bath I usually do a massage with the skin a little wet and it shows that he loves and relaxes him. Me too, mainly because it has a very delicate herbal aroma, although its fatty touch does not quite convince me.

The gel lasted about 4 months, since a baby does not need much product to be clean. I liked this product a lot and it is definitely very soft with your skin... in fact when I finished it, I started another one that was given to me in a basket and I noticed a lot the change, so much that I stopped using it.

I definitely recommend them to those who have babies or children with very sensitive skin because it shows a lot that they are quite soft products. If there are signs of dermatitis or flaking, it is definitely to be taken into account.

Did you know them? Have any of you tried them?
